241st Anniversary of Cap. Cook’s landing on Australia, 29th April

Many thanks to Carmel, Prentice, Aoife, Yvonne, Julia, Carl, Leo, John
C, Alex, Robin, Stuart and Joyce who all took part in the celebrations
to mark the 241st Anniversary of Captain Cook’s landing in Australia.
The row was meant to take us to a remote, wild and unexplored beach
(Gullane or even Portobello) but the wind prevented this and so the
barbi’ and Fosters were consumed on our own harbour beach instead,
after a couple of trips out into the Firth.  On our return we found
that the news was dominated by events in London and there do not seem
to have been any reports of this historic anniversary at all.  Strange.
Regards, Gareth
