July 27, 2011

Boatie Blest Attended the Port Soy traditional boat festival this year again with two boats. around 30 of the members took the travel and their tents to the Small town near Buckie up North. Races were held on the saturday and Sunday over a race course which was approximatly a mile and a half. Conditions were made difficult due to a high swell in the Moray Firth. Boatie Blest came out on top in 3 of the races with Portobello winning overall. Port seton came 2nd overall followed closely by Anstruther in 3rd. Dunbar Picked up the special prize and other clubs such as North Berwick, South queensferry, ullapool and Galgael all took part. The weekend and the festival were all helped due to a beautiful weekend of weather. A thanks must be given to all the members who helped make the trip posiable and Alec Jordan for organising the campsite and races.  Pictures are from Caroline.
