After the long winter and seasonal regatta break the regatta season will be kicking off in Port Seton. During the off period several clubs have done Other trips such as rowing up and down the Tweed or rowing down the Tay.
This years regatta season appears to be more packed than ever with many regattas all over Scotland. The port Seton Regatta held at the Harbour will Consist of a persuit style race course where crews will leave the start line side by side and race round a oval Cicuit and meet back at the start/Finish line facing opposite directions. 11 Boats are due to race on the day with around 100 people expected to take part. Races will start around 11am and will run untill early afternoon.
Saturdays races will consist of the Mens 40+, Womens 40+ and Mixed open races. Sunday will consist of the mens open, 50+ mixed and the hotly contested womens open.
On the Saturday night there will be a Ceilidh in the Auld Kirk Hall organised by Boatie Blest and some drinks will be on sale, A small door fee will be in place to cover the cost of the hall.
